MILITARY INTRIGUE - LATE SUMMER PASSION
OFF THE SHELVES
August continues to be a scorcher, and Fall Runway Fashion sizzles as it arrives in your stores. The Runway collection has a high dose of Military tailoring and lace applique - evoking the contradiction of sharp, clean lines with the romantic and sensual patterns of chantilly lace. Military references in fashion and pop culture have existed since the first World Wars. The passion of wartime lovers is unrivalled. Strong young men leaving for the front lines, giving final embraces to the women they love - not knowing if they will ever see each other again - what could be more passionate? Add the intrigue of espionage, seduction, and the beauty of old world customs of Russian Lace, folkloric patterns, and iconic references and The Ferragamo Fall 2012 Collection campaign starring Supermodel Kate Moss takes your breath away. In a word - Gorgeous.
The ironic pairing of tailoring and less structured shapes creates a sense of drama - which makes for sexy, military chic ensembles. The use of Lambskin as key accent detailing is a true sign of luxury. Fall 2012 will be the collection that people remember as the one that raised the bar for Ferragamo. Destination ultra-luxe. Timing couldn't be more perfect. Luxury shoppers around the world are investing in high price point items to really refresh a well curated wardrobe.
** Never forget most looks are exclusive to your boutiques - giving you the advantage over Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, & Saks 5th Avenue associates. ** Embrace this powerful level of exclusivity, as few of our fellow fashion brands have it.

RUNWAY WORDS
The Faberge Egg
There are few iconic references more luxurious than the Faberge Egg. Peter Carl Faberge was the goldsmith to the Russian Imperial Court, and the man who would create the Faberge legacy. In 1885 Tsar Alexander III decided to give his Empress a jeweled Easter Egg on the occasion of their 20th Wedding anniversary. The Empress Fedorovna was so taken by the lavish creation that Alexander would continue to have one commissioned for her every year. The tradition continued with Tsar Nicholas II for his wife Alexandre until 1917, the year of the Russian Revolution. Of the roughly 50 Imperial eggs created, 42 remain. Each has a value starting of at least ten million dollars, some priceless.
The reference is iconic and the Ferragamo Egg shaped handbag framed in gold and presented in embroidered black on black is exquisite. Who will be lucky enough to own one of these extremely limited bags?
