One member of this large dynasty was famous from the age of 10 when she was the subject of hundreds of newspaper articles. The tabloids chronicled the most famous custody battle in U.S. history of little Gloria Vanderbilt.
That infamous chain of events was just the beginning of a fantastic and unique life that has kept Ms. Vanderbilt in the headlines more than 70 years since that custody trial.
