2012 has passed by in a whirlwind of runway shows, editorial spreads, and new milestones for the house of Salvatore Ferragamo! Congratulations to all who work in the boutiques each and every day, and are witnessing first hand the brand evolution - carefully planned by creative director Massimiliano Giornetti!
With less than 30 days left to the calendar year, you are about to have some of the heaviest traffic ever seen in our stores. Never has brand awareness been stronger, and that means that the Fall SALE should prove to be a phenomenal experience! Reason being- many fashionistas are waiting for the super luxurious Fall runway collection to be marked down. **Clients shopping sale this year will include fashion forward young ladies looking to own their first piece of Ferragamo** - With fashion spreads in Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle Magazine this holiday season - it is IMPOSSIBLE for shoppers to miss all the excitement happening in the world of Ferragamo.
Let's remember that luxury shoppers are spending again and categories like Watches & Fine jewelry are on the rise. Don't hesitate to suggest a watch or fine jewelry ring as a gift suggestion. The image of Ferragamo has never been more luxurious, and events like the Louvre presentation continue to elevate all classifications. The resort collection is very specific, and limited, and will actually raise the bar for the entire ready-to-wear category. The Resort 2012/13 collection shown at the Louvre Museum in Paris in June sent a clear message to the global fashion press and style conscious women - Ferragamo's legacy of luxury is as strong as ever! This delivery should serve like a Couture collection for French houses - a collection to speak about to all clients - setting the image of the entire collection. While we can't call it couture, you can say that it is the most handcrafted RTW in the market. To see something finer than this, you would have to order Couture.
The Boa-Printed Python boots are being talked, tweeted, and blogged about all around the world. They are THE ultra-luxe boot from the Resort Collection. While most clients will not be buying a pair of $6,500.00 python boots above the knee, they can look at or hear about them while they try on a $1,200.00 boot. Another key style detail is laced and grommeted leather sandals. The flat sandal or retro heel version give her the option to be tall and trendy or laid back and low. Inspired by corsets, the completely handcrafted sandals are a 2012 way to celebrate the legacy of Salvatore.

In November, the Ferragamo Boutique on Robson street was the scene of one of the hippest parties of the year. NUVO magazine co-hosted the event, timed with a wonderful feature story on Massimiliano and the Resort collection. A chic and international well dressed crowd turned out to help celebrate the new boutique. With stunning windows and intimate, luxurious selling spaces, the boutique now matches the fashion displayed in the store. With sensual wood, supple suede, and sleek metallic surfaces, the environment helps shoppers "live the dream". One can envision a life of luxury, while they decide what looks best on them. Even if you work in a boutique clear across the country from Vancouver, talking about the new store is a wonderful way to excite a conversation.
Bravo to Karine and her team for all of the hard work and preparation, and making sure guests enjoyed themselves the night of the party. **It must be noted, the crowd did not want to leave and stayed even after ever drop of champagne had been served. Clearly, Ferragamo understands how Vancouverans like to celebrate! Congratulations Vancouver and Happy Holidays!!
