**Important to note that fashion clients are facing confusing advertising this time of year from Bridge and Moderate priced collections like Michael Kors, Tory Burch, & Rachel Zoe.** Shockingly, established upscale department stores like Saks 5th Ave, Neiman Marcus, & even Bergdorf Goodman have heavily invested in many of these collections in a desperate attempt to attract younger shoppers. However, instead of luring in new customers, many designer customers have actually traded down due to this merchandise mix. Shoppers have also become complacent to the endless collaborations of high-end designers and fashion fashion brands. The recent partnership of Neiman Marcus + Target left both companies disappointed with the initial results at retail. The marketing backfired with some Neiman Marcus clients upset to see the luxury store associated with Target, and some core Target customers felt left out by merchandise priced out of their reach. Unfortunately the exclamation point logo had some exclaiming their unhappiness! To Be Clear: Many clients shop at Neiman Marcus and Target, however they want luxury merchandise at one place and bargain items at another.
