FERRAGAMO SPRING FETE - CHATEAU MARMONT

The Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood is a home away from home for celebrities and fashionable travelers from around the world. FERRAGAMO SPRING 2013 LEATHER TRENCH  Last Thursday night it was the site of the only state side runway presentation of the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2013 collection! The ultra exclusive group of 50 on hand were a who's who of taste makers and style icons that make nights out in LA - legendary.  Co-hosted by Socialite Jacqui Getty and Harper's Bazaar magazine - the beautiful people of LA LA land were out in force.  Demi Moore,JACQUI GETTY & DEMI MOORE IN FERRAGAMO AT THE CHATEAU MARMONT Nicole Ritchie, Emma Roberts, Rosanna Arquette -all clad in Ferragamo- lit up the room.   This cloistered enclave above Sunset Boulevard was a magical scene as models, music, and laughter filled the air.  Costume designer Arianne Philips and Stylist Rachel Zoe studied the fashion - surely planning who could wear what on a future red carpet or on the big screen itself.  A certain white leather trench coat - took everyone's breath away.    I had a chance to catch up with Philips about her incredible work on recent projects- the movie W.E. and Madonna's latest MDNA -world tour.   Arianne told me she is starting to prep a new film - but she couldn't say for who...just yet.

Of course, Ferragamo has hosted VIP soirees in L.A. for decades.   Salvatore himself NICOLE RITCHIE & EMMA ROBERTS AT THE CHATEAU started his groundbreaking career just a stones throw away from the Chateau Marmont at the Hollywood Boot Shop he opened here in the 1920's.   Today, under the direction of designer Massimiliano Giornetti, it's as if Salvatore is back at the helm. Think sophisticated luxury with a hint of avant-garde.
