The 69th Annual Golden Globes Ceremony was a show to remember. Comedian Ricky Gervais returned to host the show - drink in hand. With all the amazing movies to choose from this year, it is no surprise that the crowd of Hollywood A-list were in good spirits. The Descendants and The Artist were two films that took many by surprise! While many of the leading ladies looked like they had forgotten to try on their dresses before the show, there were also some visions. The most beautiful couple by a mile was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Angelina was other-worldly with her alabaster skin and bright red lips that almost looked like a CGI effect. Ravishing in an Atelier Versace Ivory Silk Satin gown, Angelina took your breath away. Also gasp worthy was Mr. Pitt. Head to toe in Salvatore Ferragamo, Brad reminded everyone just how handsome he is on the red carpet.
Amazing to see these two beautiful people blossom in each others company. Many have said how different Brad is with Angelina. Clearly the two are on a path of growth and spiritual awakening. Brad has spear headed efforts to rebuild a Katrina ravaged New Orleans, and Angelina continues to make films that shine a light on the victims of terrorism and poverty. Both were nominated for their work this year. Brad for his starring role in Moneyball, and Angelina for her directorial debut - In the Land of Blood and Honey. Role models for us all!

Let's take a look at the most stylish dress trends this season and suggest which looks to pick to make sure 2012 is stylicious! Let's look at New Look in the U.K. - covering all the latest designer trends!
The cold weather has set in and we all know what that means – parties. Also, the debate over whether to risk bare legs and goose bumps or go for sensible black opaques and be done with it.
Well, we can’t tell you what tights to wear underneath, but we can tell you what dresses and styles are trending this New Years, taking our cues from some of this autumn/winter’s biggest awards and evening events.
Sequins
Those wary of losing a good portion of their outfit to taxi doors and errant door handles can instead channel the metallic looks seen at Calvin Klein, with space-age silvers in rubbled textures and sixties-inspired lines.
For those ready to go all-out, though, keep the cut simple and the sequins bright. High street sequin shift party dresses are perfect one-offs that are easy to wear and won’t cost you a fortune in dry-cleaning. New Look’s latest party wear launch is an inspiration for prêt-a-porter affordable sparkle. For designer lovers, D&G’s gold stars get our top marks. U.K. singing sensation Jessie J did D&G proud on the cover of Glamour Mag last year!
Feathers
For the adventurous – but also a very easy trend to channel with a simple collar or nod to our feathered friends. Versace’s yellow feather mini is the ultimate in combining 1920s fabrics with 1960s colours and hemlines – and with a statement this huge, you won’t need much accessorising.
For subtler versions, there are numerous mid-range dresses in softer silvers and nudes that employ a feather skirt or feather-metallics mix for a beguilingly textured look – very fun, very midnight-on-the-dance floor and yet surprisingly low maintenance.
Red
A very sexy alternative to the LBD – and if fashion it girl Chloe Sevigny is one of the first seen wearing it, you know it’s the edgy end of high fashion. She went asymmetric with the shoulder and short with the hem. Chloe's dress had a sort of super-hero feel, then again she is a bit of a Wonder Woman! (Click on Chloe's name to see her on The Huffington Post).
For the less adventurous, a simple shift with a short hemline is a beautiful, high-impact party piece that requires little more than some statement shoes (preferably in a softer neutral or eye-catching gold) and swept-up hair. NEW LOOK has amazing options at prices that won't blow your budget just after the holidays.
Whichever look you choose, a little party dress is the sure fire way to heat up your wardrobe during this cold and snowy time of year!
