KATE MOSS - PERHAPS THINKING OF HER FAVORITE FERRAGAMO EVENT IN 2012?FERRAGAMO TIME

Ringing in the new year is always a great time to reflect on the last twelve months.  What a year it has been!  Month after month the biggest stars in Hollywood have embraced and rediscovered the luxury and the legacy of Salvatore Ferragamo.    The year saw major celebrations, renovations, and explanations of "why" Ferragamo was once again so hot!  With Vogue calling Ferragamo "The Hipper Italian answer to Hermes", the answer is clear.   2012 is the year Massimiliano Giornetti officially arrived!  The fashion press took about a year to 18 CARAT GOLD, DIAMONDS, STINGRAY, & QUARTZ FINE JEWELRY RINGfully embrace Massimiliano's move taking the helm of the storied house that Salvatore built- but in 2012, they did!   How could they not?   With Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Halle Berry, Angelina, and a Gossip Girl performing, and floating on red carpets in Ferragamo - who could argue with the relevance of this brand in all categories?  The year saw amazing press for the Ready-To-Wear, Accessory, & of course - Shoe collections.  In addition - Fine Jewelry - literally adding another FACET (a flat polished surface of a gemstone) to the Ferragamo universe.

THE LUXE "LOUVRE" RESORT COLLECTION - SUEDE, PYTHON, & CALFSKINWith the arrival of January 2013, the Resort collection moves front and center in boutiques and in the fashion press.   This delivery (added to the Ferragamo Runway in 2011) is the one that savvy shoppers know to shop for whimsical, playful, and true fashion pieces for their wardrobe.   Resort has always been a fantasy - an idea of travel to exotic places, with the celebration of fabrics and colors not normally worn.   Ferragamo embraced this concept in the true spirit of what Resort is.   With the 2011 silk & diamond show at the Duke mansion in NYC, and this year with Suede & exotic skin at the Louvre Museum in Paris.   Yeah, we have an $18,000.00 dress in the collection, but there are also an ample amount of $1,800.00 handbags to choose from as well.   Undoubtedly, this is why editors known for critical reviews had true compliments for Ferragamo.  As Massimiliano said after the the Resort show in Paris - "The Ferragamo Girl is Cool, but she has culture".    Let's raise a glass to culture in 2013!

For associates that have been with the company for many years, you have more tools than ever to service your luxury clients.   Continue to push yourself to sell categories you are less familiar with.   For those just joining the company, what an amazing time to be creating a client base.   Those well versed in selling luxury - you know how diverse the collection is.   For those coming from a collection with lower retail prices, embrace the price points of luxury.   Also, keep in mind that Ferragamo is typically priced lower than most other luxury competitors.  The more comfortable you are, the easier it is to close each and every transaction.   Be confident in what you are selling.   You work for one of just a handful of designer brands that has has offered true luxury from the day it began!
